[10/09/17]   The warmest of welcomes to the students and staff from St Maarten. There is a huge amount of faith support available both at the Multi-Faith Centre and in the local area. Just let us know how we can help and support you.

[10/03/17]   The Jewish Chaplain with oversight of UCLan students is non-resident and works across the Universities in the North West. He can be contacted through Andrew Clitherow, the coordinating chaplain for UCLan whose office is on the ground floor of the Multi-Faith Centre . Andrew can put Jewish students in touch with the nearest synagogues in Preston (Liberal) and St Anne’s (Orthodox).

[09/25/17]   If you came to see us at our stand in the Societies Fair and signed up for additional info, we should have replied to you by now. If for any reason you haven't heard from us, please let us know. Again, it was good to meet you and we hope your first week of lectures goes well.

[09/22/17]   It was a huge pleasure to meet so many new students from all over the world at the Societies Fair yesterday. If you are one of those who asked us to find out info for you, we will be in touch later on today. We hope you have a great weekend. Don't forget, if we can help in any way just get in touch. The Multi-Faith Centre is situated opposite the main entrance to the Library.

[09/13/17]   There will be loads of people helping new students to settle in but if at times you find yourself feeling a little homesick or you have concerns and just want someone to talk to, then feel free to drop in or email or to arrange a time to chat.

[09/13/17]   A big hello and welcome to all our new students! Come and see us at the Multi-Faith Centre and from 12 - 4 pm at the Societies' Fair on Thursday 21st.

[12/12/16]   Please come along and join us in singing carols in the Mall from 12 - 2pm tomorrow outside the Opportunities Centre in the SU Building. Free mince pies and non-alcoholic mulled wine and soft drinks available. Join us for some festive music!

[11/08/16]   Everyone is invited to the annual Act of Remembrance and Reconciliation 10.50 am Friday 11 November held in the outdoor area between St Peter's Arts Centre and the Library. Includes the Two Minutes' Silence at 11.00 am. A special time to remember the Fallen in two World Wars and all victims of warfare today especially the many thousands of refugees and asylum seekers who have died while seeking safety in countries other than their own.

[09/15/16]   You can find out more about us in the UCLan Multi-Faith Centre pages on the Uni website. The Chaplaincy Team welcomes you!

[09/15/16]   Are you arriving on Sunday and moving in to one of our Halls of Residence? If so, you will find there will be many staff about the place to help you settle in. I look forward to seeing you. Andrew.

[09/15/16]   Please note our new opening times!
The Multi-Faith Centre is open
Monday - Friday 8am - 6 pm and by swipe access from 6pm to 12 am
Saturday & Sunday 8am - 8pm by swipe access.

[09/15/16]   Welcome to all our new students! We look forward to meeting you in the coming weeks. UCLan is a friendly and very hospitable Uni. We will have a table at the Need to Know Events on Monday19th and Friday 23rd and also at the Freshers' Fair. Come and say hello and we will be happy to let you know how the Chaplaincy fits in to the Uni community.

[04/21/16]   Good luck to everyone sitting exams and completing assignments. This can be a stressful time. Please feel free to contact us if you think we can support you through these weeks or if you just want a place to talk. Andrew

[11/25/15]   Students and Staff of all faiths and none are welcome to use the Multi-Faith Centre (Opposite the Library) for worship, prayer, and meditation where staff are also available to offer support.

[11/24/15]   Please put into your diaries and come along to some Christmas Readings and Music arranged by the University Chaplaincy
to be held on Thursday 3rd December at 6-7pm in the Atrium.
Refreshments and mince pies provided
This is an opportunity to explore the stories and traditions of Christmas through instrumental music, carols, Bible and other readings. If you are committed or curious to know what Christmas is about, you will be very welcome.

[11/23/15]   It seems an appropriate time to post the Multi-Faith Peace Prayer the Chaplaincy Team uses regularly:
'Lead me from death to life; from falsehood to truth; from despair to hope;from fear to trust; from war to peace. Let peace fill our hearts, our world, our universe.'

[11/16/15]   We have been deeply moved by the events in Paris over the weekend. We pray for peace and reconciliation and for all who are afraid. We are here for anyone who wants to talk or needs spiritual or pastoral support. Andrew ()

[10/21/15]   Just to let everyone know the annual UCLan Act of Remembrance and Reconciliation will be held this year at 10.50 am on Wed 11th November in the usual place which is in the thoroughfare between St Peter's Arts Centre and the Library. We gather to remember those affected by warfare since 1914 and to commit ourselves to the pursuit of reconciliation and peace. Everyone is welcome. It is not a service as such and is designed to be open and accessible to everyone. Andrew.

[09/16/15]   Brilliant to see so many at our Freshers' Fair Stall yesterday. Made lots of memory bracelets. Looking forward to making lots more at the Good to Know You event on Friday. If you haven't done so already, why not come along and take away a free, personal memory bracelet!

[09/14/15]   Great time today at the Good to Know You Event. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Freshers' Fair tomorrow 12 noon until 8.00 pm in and around the Atrium. Come and visit the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy stall.

[09/07/15]   We will be having a stall at the Orientation Fair this afternoon in the foyer of Darwin Building. Come and find us there so we can give you information about who we are and what we do.

[09/03/15]   Good Chaplaincy Team Meeting today preparing to welcome new students to UCLan soon. Will post details next week. Assuring all new and returning students a very warm welcome/welcome back.
